  • 凯瑟琳·金，92年

    Katherine Y. King博士是贝勒医学院儿科传染病副教授。她在哈佛大学学习生化科学，然后在圣路易斯的华盛顿大学完成了双学位课程，在那里她在七年的时间里获得了医学博士和博士学位。她回到休斯顿完成她在贝勒大学的住院医师和奖学金。除了她的研究之外，她还是医生变革(https://doctorsforchange.org/)的联合创始人和顾问委员会成员，这是一个非营利组织，旨在“通过研究、教育、合作和倡导，增加所有休斯顿人和所有德克萨斯人获得医疗服务的机会，改善他们的健康状况。”

  • Zachary Heinzerling '02

    Rakesh Agrawal ' 93正在实现SnapStream梦想。作为休斯顿软件公司的创始人和首席执行官，他和他的团队是靠看电视赚钱的——而且他们很喜欢看电视。SnapStream通常被称为“类固醇DVR”，是一款电视搜索软件，每台设备可以记录超过10个电视频道。然后，用户可以立即搜索他们所有的录音，以找到一个特定的片段，突出显示或引用。SnapStream是数百个组织，包括 乔恩·斯图尔特的每日秀 ， Buzzfeed, Politico和美国参议院，录制电视节目并制作电视剪辑。

Congratulations to Coach Richie Mercado ’79 for receiving the 2021 USATF Fred Wilt Educator of the Year Award. Coach Mercado has been involved with USATF since 1990 and met the late Coach Wilt soon afterward. From volunteer to the head of the regional congress, Coach Mercado has been at the forefront of the federation’s track and field education on a global scale.

  • So far, St. John’s Mavericks have found their way into the NCAA tournament in football, field hockey, cross country, and soccer.  Meg Shelburne '20 and the Middlebury Panthers won the NCAA D3 Field Hockey Championship and more Mavs still have games to play starting on Saturday.

In her last season with the Wildcats, she received IWLCA Second Team All-American lacrosse honors in addition to First-Team All-Big Ten accolades. Her team finished the 2021 season as Big Ten Champs and NCAA semifinalists. McKone was also selected as Academic All-Big Ten along with teammates Carson Copeland ’17, and Kate Copeland ’17.  All three were recognized with IWLCA Academic honors. The Bears were down 4-3 before Hannah Johnston ’18 won her match to set up the clincher with the Bear’s #2 singles.  Sophia Huynh ’19 won her singles match to contribute to the win.  Katherine Johnston ’20 also competed at #2 doubles. The Bears advanced to the round of 16 only to drop to the Pirates of Southwestern University 5-1.  Hannah Johnston picked up the lone win for Wash U.  Hannah Johnston and Sophia Huynh were also selected to the University Athletic Association (UAA) Spring All-Academic Team." data-long="" data-date="5/16/2021" data-author="" data-detailurl="/page/news-detail?pk=1177466&fromId=241632">

    熊队在NCAA锦标赛中净胜

    华盛顿大学熊队女子网球队进入了NCAA第三赛区的团体锦标赛，与东道主达拉斯德州大学进行了大规模的竞标。熊队以4-3落后，18岁的汉娜·约翰斯顿赢得比赛，以熊队的2号单打锁定胜局。19岁的黄素芬(Sophia Huynh)在单打比赛中获胜，为这场胜利做出了贡献。凯瑟琳约翰斯顿' 20也参加了#2双打。熊队进入16强，却以5比1不敌西南大学海盗队。汉娜·约翰斯顿为华盛顿大学赢得了唯一的胜利。汉娜·约翰斯顿和索菲亚·黄恩也入选了大学体育协会(UAA)春季学术队。
